Stratcom Security offers approved First Aid training by arrangement at a variety of locations with fully qualified instructors and up to date equipment.
Our First Aid courses include:
Basic First Aid course (1-day)
- Includes CPR, use of an AED and providing first aid basics in accident and medical emergency situations.
- Covers training and assessment required for Unit Standards 6401 and 6402.
- Upon successful completion, you will receive a Basic First Aid Certificate that is valid for 2 years.
Mode of Delivery:
This course is either delivered through:
Face-to-face class based training (8 hours)
or
Blended learning (Half-day face-to-face class based training and online learning)
Entry Requirement
- 18 years of age or above
- A citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand or an Australian citizen or a permanent resident residing in New Zealand
- Able to speak and understand English
- Admission can be on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Director of Stratcom Security
First Aid Refresher course (6 hours)
- This course is designed for those who have previously completed a recognised First Aid course, such as our Basic First Aid course.
- This course will review and update your First Aid training.
- Must be completed within 3 months after your previous 2-year certificate expires.
- Upon successful completion, you will receive a First Aid certificate that is valid for 2 years.
Mode of Delivery
Class based training – 6 hours
Entry Requirements
- 18 years of age or above
- A citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand or an Australian citizen or a permanent resident residing in New Zealand
- Able to speak and understand English
- Holds an approved First Aid or equivalent certificate that is less than 2 years old or within 3 months of the expiry date of the previous First Aid certificate
