These courses equip participants with vital first aid skills applicable in various situations, ensuring readiness to respond effectively to emergencies.  

New Zealand Certificate in Security (Foundation)

This course provides security professionals with foundational knowledge in identifying, analysing, and managing security risks, operational requirements, and understanding applicable standards and legislation in New Zealand. Recognised by the Private Security Personnel Licensing Authority (PSPLA), it serves as evidence of requisite training for licensing as a Security Consultant.

Aimed at frontline workers, this programme focuses on recognising early signs of agitation and employing strategies to de-escalate potentially tense situations, ensuring safety for all parties involved.

Tailored for frontline staff in Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM), this course imparts skills to identify causes of conflict and apply de-escalation techniques, enhancing personal security in public-facing roles.

This course equips learners with the ability to identify agitated behaviour and apply de-escalation techniques, with a focus on public housing and property management contexts. It includes the CAP micro-credential and knowledge on workplace health and safety requirements.

Project Ikuna, fully funded by the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) and delivered through Tātaki Auckland Unlimited in collaboration with multiple education providers, will help Pacific workers gain skills and knowledge to adapt to the future of work and thrive in life.
