• • • Covers CPR, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and fundamental first aid techniques for accident and medical emergencies.
    • Meets the training and assessment requirements for Unit Standards 6401 and 6402.
    • Successful participants receive a Basic First Aid Certificate valid for two years.

• • • Face-to-face classroom-based training (8 hours), or
    • Blended learning: half-day face-to-face training combined with online learning.

• • • Aged 18 years or above.
    • Citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand, or an Australian citizen or permanent resident residing in New Zealand.
    • Able to speak and understand English.

Admission may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Director of Stratcom Security.

• • • Designed for individuals who have previously completed a recognised First Aid course, such as the Basic First Aid course.
    • Reviews and updates prior First Aid training.
    • Must be completed within three months after the previous two-year certificate expires.
    • Successful participants receive a First Aid Certificate valid for two years.

• • • Classroom-based training (6 hours).

• • • Aged 18 years or above.
    • Citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand, or an Australian citizen or permanent resident residing in New Zealand.
    • Able to speak and understand English.
    • Holds an approved First Aid or equivalent certificate that is less than two years old or within three months of the expiry date of the previous certificate.
