About this Course
Stratcom Security offers accredited First Aid training at various locations, facilitated by fully qualified instructors with up-to-date equipment.
Our First Aid courses include:
Basic First Aid Course (1-day)
About:
- Covers CPR, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and fundamental first aid techniques for accident and medical emergencies.
- Meets the training and assessment requirements for Unit Standards 6401 and 6402.
- Successful participants receive a Basic First Aid Certificate valid for two years.
Mode of Delivery:
- Face-to-face classroom-based training (8 hours), or
- Blended learning: half-day face-to-face training combined with online learning.
Entry Requirements:
- Aged 18 years or above.
- Citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand, or an Australian citizen or permanent resident residing in New Zealand.
- Able to speak and understand English.
Admission may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Director of Stratcom Security.
First Aid Refresher Course (6 hours)
About:
- Designed for individuals who have previously completed a recognised First Aid course, such as the Basic First Aid course.
- Reviews and updates prior First Aid training.
- Must be completed within three months after the previous two-year certificate expires.
- Successful participants receive a First Aid Certificate valid for two years.
Mode of Delivery:
- Classroom-based training (6 hours).
Entry Requirements:
- Aged 18 years or above.
- Citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand, or an Australian citizen or permanent resident residing in New Zealand.
- Able to speak and understand English.
- Holds an approved First Aid or equivalent certificate that is less than two years old or within three months of the expiry date of the previous certificate.
